West Hempfield won their 4th game of the season with a 11-0 victory over Young Township on Sunday, July 1st at Lint Field.  The game was stopped after 6 innings due to the 10 run rule.  Jake Anderson pitched a complete game 2 hitter and he struck out 9 Young Township batters.  Dylan Visnic led the offense going 2-2 with 3 runs scored and driving in 2 more runs.  Nick Altier had 2 hits including a double,  he drove in 2 runs, and scored a run.  Anderson had a triple in the game.    West Hempfield will host Mt Pleasant on Monday, July 2nd, 6 pm first pitch,

West Hempfield defeated Irwin 3-2 at Lint Field on Monday, June 25th breaking a 4 game losing streak.  Nick Altier earned the mound win in relief of Jake Anderson.  Anderson pitched 6 innings giving up 2 runs, 1 earned, and struck out 9 batters.  Altier pitched the final ining giving up no runs and striking out 1.  West Hempfield won on a walk off error.  With 1 out, Nolen Ferree hit a pinch hit double and scored on a ground ball error hit by Anderson.  Dylan Visnic, Traynor Granatire, Colin Critchfield, Ferre, & Anderson all had doubles in the game.  West Hempfield is now 3-7-1 on the season and resume play on Tuesday, June 26th when they host Latrobe at Lint Field, 6 pm first pitch.

West Hempfield evened their record to 2-2 with a 6-5 come from behind  victory over Irwin at Norwin High School.  Dylan Visnic got the mound win in relief of Mitch Miletics.  Miletics pitched 4 2/3rds giving up 6 hits and only 1 earned run.  Visnic pitched 1 2/3rds giving up a run and Altier pitched the final 2/3rds of an inning to earn the save.  Trailing by 2 runs going into the 7th inning, West Hempfield scored 3 runs behind doubles by Traynor Granatire and Visnic.  Sam Choby, Visnic, & Granatire all had 2 hits in the contest.  West Hempfield will play again on Wednesday, June 6th when they host Unity at Lint Field, game time 6 pm.
